Prior to this, he served as Unit Head and Senior Consultant in Medical Oncology at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi (August 2022 – September 2023), and as Principal Consultant in Medical Oncology at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi (December 2020 – August 2022). Earlier in his career, Dr. Sharma served as Unit Head of Medical Oncology at Action Cancer Hospital, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi (December 2016 – November 2020), and as Consultant in Medical Oncology at both Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre (October 2014 – November 2016) and Action Cancer Hospital (June 2011 – October 2014). He began his oncology career as Associate Consultant at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre (August 2010 – June 2011).
