Dr. Amanjeet Singh is a Senior Director & Head in the Division of GI Surgery, GI Oncology & Bariatric Surgery at Medanta Hospital, Gurugram. A distinguished surgical gastroenterologist, he is widely recognized as a pioneer of Hand Assisted Laparoscopic Surgery in India, having designed his own cost-effective technique known as the "Medanta Handport Technique," which was presented at the Annual Conference of the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons in Florida, USA. After completing his super specialization in Surgical Gastroenterology from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital where he received the prestigious Ravi K Jerath Award for the best DNB Student of the year — Dr. Singh underwent advanced training at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and completed a fellowship in laparoscopic colorectal surgery at SMC Korea. He has further honed his expertise through Robotic Training at IRCAD, Strasbourg (2011), Lap Gastric Surgery training at IRCAD, Taiwan (2012), and Robotic Colorectal training at AETF, Japan (2013). Dr. Singh's surgical expertise spans all general and advanced laparoscopic procedures related to the abdomen, gastrointestinal tract, hepatobiliary system, robotic abdominal surgeries, and perianal surgeries.
