Dr. Anil Kumar Dharmapuram is a distinguished Senior Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon and Head of Pediatric Cardiac Services with over two decades of experience in treating congenital heart diseases in neonates, infants, and children. A graduate of S.V. Medical College, Tirupathi (MBBS, 1984), he further honed his expertise through advanced training at prestigious institutions including the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, and Stanford University, California, USA, where he mastered complex techniques such as the Unifocalization procedure for pulmonary atresia. Dr. Anil Kumar has performed around 3,400 cases of cardiac surgical operations in children with heart disease, including operations on very small-weight babies. The smallest weight baby operated was 2.0 kg in the TCA/TAPVC category. He is recognized internationally as a pioneer in innovative surgical techniques, including novel approaches to Tetralogy of Fallot repair, RVOT reconstruction using corrugative patches and PTFE valves, and a safe technique for repairing multiple VSDs called "endothelial suturing." His commitment to advancing pediatric cardiac care is reflected in numerous international publications, conference presentations, and overseas medical missions spanning multiple countries.
