Peters is a distinguished bariatric and metabolic surgeon with over 28 years of surgical experience, currently serving as Vice Chairman and Principal Director at the Department of Bariatric, Minimal Access & Robotic Surgery at Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi. Board certified by the National Board of Surgery, he is dedicated exclusively to Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery for Diabetes, performing more than 300 cases annually. Dr. Peters has been accredited as a "Surgeon of Excellence" by the Surgical Review Corporation, USA, which recognizes surgeons and healthcare facilities that provide safe, high-quality surgical care. He is also the founding member of ACMOMS (Asian Consensus Meeting on Metabolic Surgery) and holds the world record for performing the highest number of bariatric surgeries in a single day — sixteen — as declared in the LIMCA Book of World Records.
