Dr. Azmi Saundarya K is a dedicated Radiation Oncologist with over 8 years of clinical experience, currently serving as Clinical Lead & Consultant in Radiation Oncology at Gleneagles Hospital, Chennai. With comprehensive training spanning an MBBS, Diploma in Medical Radiotherapy (DMRT), Diplomate of National Board in Radiation Oncology (DNB-RT), and a Global Fellowship in Palliative Medicine, she brings a well-rounded approach to cancer care that encompasses both curative treatment and compassionate palliative support. Dr. Azmi's expertise spans a wide range of advanced radiotherapy modalities, including 3D conformal radiotherapy, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), CyberKnife radiosurgery, and brachytherapy. She has had the privilege of observing advanced brachytherapy procedures and image-guided IMRT on Tomotherapy and CyberKnife at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, California, USA, under the mentorship of Dr. AM Nisar Syed. Her clinical expertise covers a broad spectrum of malignancies, including breast, gynecological, head and neck, thoracic, gastrointestinal, CNS, and skin cancers, as well as soft tissue sarcomas and benign conditions such as keloids. Dr. Azmi is equally committed to pain management and palliative care, having completed a one-year training through the Global Fellowship Program in Palliative Medicine by Pallium India (2024 batch).
