Dr. Bharat Nair is a skilled Consultant in Liver Transplant and Biliary Sciences with over 10 years of experience in hepatobiliary and pancreatic (HPB) surgery. Trained at high-volume centers, he brings extensive expertise in liver transplantation, having performed more than 350 liver transplants encompassing living donor liver transplants (LDLT), deceased/cadaveric donor liver transplants (DDLT), ABO blood group-incompatible liver transplants, and pediatric liver transplants. Beyond transplantation, Dr. Nair has substantial experience in more than 300 major liver, pancreatic, and biliary tract surgeries. His surgical proficiency spans liver tumor resections, pancreatic cancer surgeries including the Whipple procedure and distal pancreatectomy, and bile duct cancer surgery. He is also well-versed in managing benign HPB conditions such as gallstone disease, bile duct strictures, and liver cyst surgery, and has a wide range of experience in gastrointestinal procedures including stomach, colon, and hernia surgeries performed both laparoscopically and through open approaches.
