Dr. Bharat Vijay Purohit is a highly accomplished Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Director of the Cath Lab at Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, Hyderabad. With over 22 years of clinical experience, he is recognized as a pioneer in advanced cardiac interventions across the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions. His expertise spans a comprehensive range of interventional cardiology procedures, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), complex coronary interventions, and leadless pacemaker implantation. Dr. Purohit has been at the forefront of introducing cutting-edge cardiac technologies in the region, being among the first to initiate TAVR programmes and implant leadless pacemakers in AP/Telangana. He has performed more than 500 coronary interventions using the radial approach and has extensive experience with complex procedures including chronic total occlusion interventions, left main stenting, and rotablation. His dedication to advancing cardiac care has earned him numerous prestigious awards, including the Vaidya Shiromani Award for Contribution in Cardiology and the Times Health Award for Service Excellence in Interventional Cardiology.
