Dr. Hemant Sharma is a highly accomplished orthopaedic surgeon with over 28 years of extensive experience spanning both India and England, where he spent 11 years in each country honing his surgical expertise. A certified Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Dr. Sharma is recognized for his unwavering commitment to the highest standards of surgical excellence. He currently serves as Chairman of Orthopaedics & Joint Replacement and Spine Surgery at Marengo Asia Hospitals, Gurugram, where he leads the Marengo Asia Robotic Centre for Orthopaedics & Joint Care (MARC) — a facility recognized as a center of excellence for robotic orthopedic surgery and sports injury treatment. Dr. Sharma specializes in robotic, hip, and knee surgery, with particular expertise in performing complex trauma and elective orthopedic procedures. He is renowned for his proficiency in revision trauma and revision arthroplasty surgery, managing some of the most challenging cases in joint replacement. His special clinical interests include young adult hips, developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), sickle cell disease–related orthopaedic complications, joint preservation surgery for the knee, and sports injuries of the hip and knee.
