Dr. K. R. Gopi is a Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist with over 30 years of clinical experience in Medical Oncology and Palliative Care. With extensive training and practice across both India and the United Kingdom, he brings a wealth of international expertise to the care of cancer patients. His career spans prestigious NHS hospitals throughout the UK — including Christie NHS Manchester, Clatterbridge NHS Liverpool, and Western General Hospital Edinburgh before returning to India to continue serving patients at leading healthcare institutions in Chennai. Dr. Gopi's clinical expertise covers a broad spectrum of solid tumors and hematological malignancies, including breast cancer, colorectal cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer, lymphoma, leukemias, and hepato-biliary-pancreatic cancers. He has a special interest in managing cancer in the frail and elderly, post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders, and pain and palliative care. He is also recognized for introducing subcutaneous morphine infusion in India, having treated hundreds of terminally ill patients with this technique — a testament to his deep commitment to compassionate end-of-life care.
