Dr. M.S. Kanwar is a highly accomplished Pulmonologist based in New Delhi, India, with over more than 45 years of extensive clinical experience in the field of Respiratory Medicine, Sleep Medicine, and Pulmonary Medicine. He is nationally and internationally recognized for his significant contributions to the management of COVID-19 disease, respiratory allergies, sleep disorders, and a wide spectrum of pulmonary conditions.
Dr. Kanwar authored the first-ever text book on COVID-19 globally, titled “COMPREHENSIVE TEXT BOOK ON COVID-19”, a landmark publication comprising 54 chapters with contributions from approximately 70 co-authors.
Dr. Kanwar is a pioneer in Sleep Medicine in India, having introduced the largest and most sophisticated Sleep Lab in the country in 1998 at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. He has served as Chairman and Scientific Committee Chairman for various national conferences on Critical Care, Bronchology, and Sleep Medicine.
He holds multiple distinguished qualifications including FAMS, MD, DNB, MNAMS, FPCC, Diploma in FCCP (USA), and FCRS, reflecting his extensive academic and professional accomplishments. He is a regular examiner for the National Board for Post-Doctoral Critical Care Fellowship Medicine exams and serves as an Examiner for the National Board in Respiratory Medicine.
