Dr. Naveen Polavarapu is a highly accomplished Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist, Liver Specialist, and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopist with 25 years of extensive medical experience. He specializes in the comprehensive care of gastrointestinal disorders in both adults and children, with particular expertise in liver diseases, biliary conditions, and advanced endoscopic interventions. Having performed over 30,000 endoscopies, 10,000 colonoscopies, 9,000 ERCPs, 9,000 EUSs, and numerous other advanced procedures, Dr. Polavarapu brings an exceptional depth of clinical and procedural experience to his practice. Dr. Polavarapu completed his MBBS from NTR University of Health Sciences in 2001, where he was recognized as the best outgoing student. He pursued higher training in the United Kingdom, earning his MRCP and FRCP in Gastroenterology from Liverpool Deanery, and completed advanced fellowships in ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and Liver Transplant medicine at Aintree University Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. He has conducted extensive research in cholangiocarcinoma and bile duct cancers, with over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals and numerous presentations at prestigious international conferences including BSG, UEGW, and AASLD. He serves as the Director of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department at Medvarsity University, India, and is an examiner for the MRCP PACES by the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom.
