Dr. Rajeev Rathi is a distinguished interventional cardiologist with over 28 years of experience in cardiac sciences, cardiology, and interventional cardiology. He currently serves as Principal Director & Head of the Transradial Interventional Programme at Max Healthcare, where he brings extensive expertise in performing complex coronary angioplasties, including chronic total occlusion, bifurcation lesions, left main stenosis, and peripheral interventions. With more than 18 years of dedicated experience in complex coronary interventions, Dr. Rathi holds special expertise in trans-radial coronary angioplasties and serves as a teacher and mentor to fellow interventional cardiologists in this technique. He is proficient in treating mitral, aortic, and pulmonary valves as well as adult congenital heart disease through catheter-based interventions. Dr. Rathi has been instrumental in establishing cardiac catheterization laboratories at Apollo Hospital, Bilaspur and Medical College, Raipur, and is credited with pioneering the era of interventional cardiology in the state of Chhattisgarh. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Rathi is a healthcare innovator who pioneered "Hriday Suraksha Abhiyan," a groundbreaking project in Central Coal Field Ltd., Ranchi, aimed at providing immediate treatment to heart attack victims. He also developed "The Heart App," a free smartphone application designed to help both the general population and medical professionals recognize early symptoms of heart attack and angina. His commitment to service extends to providing free video-consultation services to the Border Security Force for soldiers and their families in remote areas.
