Dr. S Jayalakshmi is a distinguished Radiation Oncologist and the Head of the Radiation Oncology & CyberKnife Centre (Unit II) at Artemis Hospitals, Gurugram. With decades of clinical experience, she is recognized for her expertise in advanced radiation therapy techniques, including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT), and CyberKnife-based treatments. Her clinical focus on head and neck malignancies and gynaecological cancers has positioned her as a trusted specialist in these challenging areas of oncology.
Dr. Jayalakshmi's career journey reflects a commitment to continuous learning and clinical excellence. After completing her post-graduate residency in Radiation Oncology from the prestigious Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore in 1992, she trained at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in post-MD residency and research roles. She has further honed her skills through international fellowships in 3DCRT, IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SRT, and SBRT from the University of Bristol (UK), Yashoda Hospitals (Hyderabad), and Accuray International (San Jose, California, USA). Her blend of national and international training enables her to deliver world-class radiation oncology care to patients from across the globe.
Prior to joining Artemis Hospitals in 2013, Dr. Jayalakshmi served as Senior Consultant in Radiation Oncology at several leading institutions, including Dharamshila Cancer Hospital, Anand Hospital, and Metro Hospitals, Preet Vihar, Delhi, where she established and headed the radiation oncology department.
