Dr. Sabhyata Gupta is a distinguished Chairperson in the Department of Gynaecology and Gynae-Oncology, renowned as the first gynaecologist in India to perform robotic gynaecological surgery for both cancerous and benign (non-cancerous) gynaecological conditions. With extensive expertise spanning gynae oncology, advanced gynae laparoscopy, robotic surgery, hysteroscopy, colposcopy, and aesthetic/cosmetic gynaecology, she has established herself as a pioneer in her field. Dr. Gupta has trained many gynaecologists in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, contributing significantly to the advancement of minimally invasive gynaecological care in India.
Dr. Gupta is a postgraduate teacher registered with the National Board of Examinations and is successfully running the DNB Gynae Oncology programme. She has held several prestigious leadership positions, including President of the Asia-Oceania Research Organization in Genital Infections and Neoplasia (AOGIN), India (2020–22), and President of the Fertility Preservation Society of India (2018–2020). She is a member of the International Gynaecological Cancer Society, the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Gupta has contributed to many books and numerous national and international journals, cementing her reputation as a leading authority in gynaecological and oncological care.
