Dr. Satya Prakash Yadav is a distinguished Senior Director specializing in Paediatric Bone Marrow Transplant, Medical Oncology, and Cancer Care at Medanta Hospital, Gurugram, India. With over 31 years of clinical experience, he is one of India's most accomplished paediatric haematologists and bone marrow transplant specialists, dedicated to treating children with blood and cancer disorders including leukaemia, thalassaemia, sickle cell disease, aplastic anaemia, and immune deficiency disorders.
Dr. Yadav's mission has been to make BMT and Cell Therapy available and affordable to all those who need it. After completing his training in Paediatrics from Delhi, he pursued advanced fellowship training in Sydney, Australia, and served as a Fellow (2000–2006) in Paediatric Haematology-Oncology at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. Upon returning to India, he set up a successful Paediatric BMT program at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Fortis Gurugram, and Medanta Hospital.
He, along with his colleagues, has been involved in performing over 1,000 Blood & Marrow Transplants and Cell Therapies, including unrelated donor transplants, cord blood transplants, and haplo-identical bone marrow transplants. Dr. Yadav is a pioneer in advanced cellular therapies in India, including CAR-T Cell therapy, virus-specific T-cell therapy, and donor lymphocyte infusions. He has published in various national and international journals with over 500 citations and has served as a teaching faculty for the Fellowship of National Board of Examinations (FNB) in Paediatric Haematology-Oncology. He has trained more than 30 fellows in Paediatric Haematology-Oncology who are now working as consultants across India.
