Dr. Swarnika Srivastava is among India's pioneering female cardiac surgeons, with distinguished expertise in heart and lung transplantation, advanced heart failure surgery, mechanical circulatory support devices, and complex cardiac procedures. Her exceptional training spans international borders, having received advanced training in heart transplantation at Toronto General Hospital, Canada, and completed an observership in cardiac surgery at Miami Valley Hospital, USA. An alumna of Maulana Azad Medical College and GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi, Dr. Srivastava is ECFMG certified (USA) and brings a unique combination of surgical precision and compassionate, patient-centric care. At Medanta Gurugram, she leads the Advanced Surgical Heart Failure Clinic, where she manages patients requiring heart and lung transplantation, ventricular assist devices (VADs), extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and other complex cardiac interventions. She also serves as a faculty member and mentor for IACTS Aortic Fellowship and DNB trainees, reflecting her deep commitment to advancing cardiac surgical education.
