Dr. Vivek Vij is a pioneering liver transplant surgeon and one of India's most distinguished specialists in hepatobiliary sciences, bringing over 25 years of extensive clinical experience to his practice. Currently serving as Chairman of Liver Transplant & Hepato-Biliary Science at Fortis Okhla, Dr. Vij is widely credited with developing living donor surgery techniques and standardizing safety protocols that have achieved the highest levels of donor safety in the country. He is the first surgeon from the Indian subcontinent to publish a series of laparoscopic donor hepatectomy in the prestigious journal Liver Transplantation.
