Dr. Yogesh Batra is a highly accomplished gastroenterologist and hepatologist with extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating a comprehensive range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders. He currently serves as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi — one of India's most prestigious healthcare institutions.
Dr. Batra completed his MBBS and MD (Medicine) degrees from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, and subsequently earned his super-specialty degree of DM (Gastroenterology) from the renowned All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. His post-qualification career includes leadership positions as Industry Director of Gastroenterology at BLK Super Specialty Hospital, Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist at Birla Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Holy Family Hospital, and Max Hospital, as well as a Senior Research Officer at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.
His primary areas of clinical interest include liver disease, endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatic disease, and GI malignancies. He is skilled in performing GI procedures including upper and lower GI endoscopies, diagnostic as well as therapeutic ERCP (both biliary and pancreatic), endoscopic ultrasound, EUS-guided and EUS-guided procedures, liver biopsy, upper and lower GI manometry, and motility studies.
Dr. Batra has an impressive academic portfolio with more than 80 publications indexed in PubMed, over 50 ISI publications, and extensive contributions to national and international conferences in gastroenterology and hepatology.
