In April 2025, Dubai Health and India's governments co-endorsed the UAE–India Friendship Hospital (UIFH), a not-for-profit facility in Dubai designed to deliver affordable care primarily to blue-collar workers. That same month, Dubai Medical University and India's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) signed an MoU to collaborate on AI-driven medical research and academic exchange. In June 2026, the UAE Ministry of Investment signed a further MoU with India on cooperation in innovative healthcare projects.

Underpinning all of this is one of the world's largest and most established diaspora ties: Indians form the single largest ethnic community in the UAE — approximately 4.3 million residents as of 2024, constituting roughly 35 percent of the country's total population.
